If you love Almond Joy candy bars, you’re going to love this trail mix I came up with this morning! There are three simple ingredients: raw almonds, wide slice coconut flakes, and dark chocolate chips. So easy!
My husband and I were shopping last night and found wide sliced coconut (which was relatively inexpensive!). I snatched it up! I had also picked up some Guittard dark chocolate chips and raw almonds that night so this morning I threw them all together in a bowl. I honestly didn’t measure a thing! But I’m pretty sure of the ratios, so feel free to play around with this recipe! I definitely like more chocolate in my trail mix, so I’ve listed a suggested amount of chocolate.
Trail Mix
1 cup raw sprouted almonds
1 cup wide slice coconut flakes
1/4-1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Done!
That’s it! Super easy, right? And now I have a great high protein snack to keep me energized while hiking or teaching!
